Monday 8 March

 

Partners arrive in Naples meeting with host families

 

Tuesday 9 March:

 

  9.30 Meeting with our Headteacher Iolanda Giovidelli followed by tour of the school.

10.00 Performance “Empathy” by our students.

 

Coffee break

 

11.00 School choir in concert directed by Maestro M. Rossi

11.30 Presentation of our partners projects.

12.15 break

14.00 Meeting with Mayor and local dignitaries followed by lunch at Villa Savonarola Portici

15.30 Guided tour of Portici the Reggia the king’s summer residence and the Royal Chapel.

 

Wednesday 10 March

 

9.00 The ruins of Pompei. Guided tour :

The students will be given a tour of the ruins by an expert historian.

The teachers will be given a tour of technological Pompei by an expert Dr Flavio Russo.

14.00 Local train to Sorrento lunch break in a typical “salumeria”

16.00 Tour of Sorrento

19.00 end of visit

 

Thursday 11 March

 

  8.00 Coach leaves from via Martiri di via Fani di Portici for Pietrelcina.

  9.30 Guided tour of the birthplace of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina famous for his stigmata.

13.30 Off to Naples for pizza in the historical place

15.00 Guided tour of the Decumani area, with visits to S.Chiara Church and ruins,

          the Chapel of San.Severo and the ruins of St.Lorenzo .

 

Friday 12 March

 

Comenius group leaves
